They say that Dad is a son’s first hero and a daughter’s first love. In my case, that’s certainly true.
This is one of my favorite photos of me and my Pops. It’s showing it’s age – puffy sleeves and all! – but I cherish it, as it’s one of the few good, professional photos I have with my Father.

And, this was the happiest day of my life, made even more so by the time he and I got to spend together that morning and alone together in the car on the way to the church.
His unconditional support, love and sturdy arm as he walked me down the aisle filled me with the confidence to begin my new life.
I was lucky to have Pops for this happy day and many others, and that love and support still buoy me when I need it the most.
Happy Father’s Day to Pops, and to all Dad’s out there!
Cheers,
New Dads…it’s so sweet to watch them hold their newborns, awkward and incredible gentle, not wanting to “break” them…
I love being part of a new baby’s “firsts,” like this, the first book he and Dad read together.
Pure joy on this little one’s face!
So fun to see the kids growing up, but still enjoying being with Dad.
Always Daddy’s little girl, so many wonderful moments between a bride and her dad. I had the honor of photographing both of this Dad’s daughters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Caitlin’s engagement photos were taken in Myers Park and downtown Charlotte, and her wedding was at the Charlotte Country Club…
…and Whitney’s wedding was at the Duke Mansion. (her Chicago engagement photos are fun, too!) Both of these brides had their Mom with them, too
I’m honored to capture good friends and their children – these two I’ve know since they were born…eek! It’s as emotional for me as it is for the parents, it goes by so fast! (see these two with their Mom, too!)
And, just because we’re all grown up, doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate the family and being with Dad!
Like father, like son…
When was the last time you had photos taken with Dad, or that special Uncle or Grandfather? Father’s Day, special birthdays, just because…it’s always a good time to capture your relationship and I’d love to be part of it!
AWWW! You are the best. Love the tribute to Dads. Thanks for including us. Love the picture of you and your dad. Love ya! Carol
Aw, thanks, Carol! This was a fun post for me, so many wonderful Dads out there! xo
Thx for capturing these moments, Angie!!
So, so, SO love working with you and your family, Sarah! It’s not like work at all, such a sweet and loving family!
